چکیده
Citrullus colocynthis L. is a wild watermelon, commonly named bitter melon or apple, that naturally grows in arid regions of India among other hot areas the world. Its non-edible fruits contain certain phytochemicals therapeutic and nutraceutical value. The effectiveness biopesticide formulations are known to possess insecticidal properties was tested. This first botanical pesticide formulation developed from C. colocynthis, “Thar Jaivik 41 EC”. seed were identified using GC-MS/MS, total 59 constituents identified, which seven have significant properties: n-hexadecanoic acid; octadecanoic dotriacontance; 9, 12-octadecadienoic acid (Z,Z); (Z,Z)-, methyl ester; 6-octadecenoic acid, hexatriacontane. Among different levels tested concentrations, EC” found most effective at 3 mL L−1 for managing various insect pests such as pod borer (Helicoverpa armigera) aphid (Toxoptera citricida) through repellent, deterrent, antifeeding action by causing respiration abnormalities. Moreover, it caused least harm natural enemies coccinellids this concentration. phytotoxicity response on crops revealed highly safe plants, showing no toxicity symptoms when applied higher doses than recommended one (3 L−1). Integration agriculture would help safeguard farmers’ benefits, reduced pest levels, improved food safety quality products, allow them fetch prices, well provide intangible benefits consumers environment.

Objecttive(s): Despite the poor mechanical properties of hydroxyapatite, its unique biological properties leads we think about study on improving its properties rather than completely replacing it with other biomaterials. Accordingly, in this study we introduced hydroxyapatite reinforced with hardystonite as a novel bio-nanocompositeand evaluate its in-vitro bioactivity with the aim of developi...
متن کاملInfluence of Total Anthocyanins from Bitter Melon (Momordica charantia Linn.) as Antidiabetic and Radical Scavenging Agents
The majority of the antioxidant and antidiabetic activities of fruits are anthocyanins, a group of polyphenolics that are responsible for the color of many fruits, vegetables and flowers. The harvesting time, storage conditions, maturity, extraction steps etc. are very important for the biological activities based on the alteration of chemical composition. The free radical scavenging and antidi...

متن کاملBio-active compounds of bitter melon genotypes (Momordica charantia L.) in relation to their physiological functions
Background: Bitter Melon (Momordica charantia L) is one of the most popular cooked vegetables in many Asian countries. Its experimental use in mice has indicated improvement in glucose tolerance against Type II diabetes and reduction in blood cholesterol. However, it has not been proven which alkaloids, polypeptides, or their combinations in the Bitter Melon extract are responsible for the medi...

Natural Akermanite (NAM) has been successfully prepared by a modified sol-gel method. Optimization in calcination temperature and mechanical ball milling resulted in a pure and nano-sized powder which characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Fourier transform infrared Spectroscopy (FT–IR). Calcium nitrate, ...
